Jack Dorsey is a name that many may know due to his association with Twitter (obviously now called X under the helm of Elon Musk.
In fact, until shortly before Musk took over, Dorsey was the founder and person in the driving seat of Twitter, then seen as a relatively good place to work.
Whilst Dorsey no longer has any involvement in the embattled social media giant, his other company, Block Inc, is thriving. Dorsey himself is not without a streak of controversy. This week, he announced that all employees at Block Inc could expect to receive performance management reviews.
Dorsey announced that the company plans to eliminate annual performance reviews and ditch performance improvement plans (PIPs). In a staff memo, Dorsey said he aims to foster a “culture of excellence”, according to reports from Insider. As such, this means slashing these old processes, he said.
