Protecting UK jobs from the rise of automated alternatives will be a challenge, an expert has warned.
Ian Hogarth, the new head of the Government's AI taskforce, told the BBC it was "inevitable" that more jobs would become automated as AI rapidly becomes more sophisticated, stating that "there will be winners or losers on a global basis in terms of where the jobs are as a result of AI.”
Hogarth, a tech entrepreneur and AI investor, also shed light on the Government’s new AI taskforce, explaining it had been established "to better understand the risks associated with these frontier AI systems"
