Workplace trends | HR roles among most coveted jobs for 2022

Glassdoor has released its list of the UK’s 22 best jobs for 2022, and although tech roles dominate the list, human resources jobs feature prominently.

The list was compiled by combining the salaries and job satisfaction ratings given by thousands of employee reviews on Glassdoor, then factoring in the number of job vacancies, to give a complete Glassdoor Job Score.

HR Manager came in at number six on the list, with a median salary of £48, 443, a job satisfaction rating of 4.4/5 and job openings coming in at 751. Interestingly, the job satisfaction rating was higher than the number one job on the list – Java Developer, which had a job satisfaction rating of 4.1/5. However, offering a higher salary of £55,381 and many more job openings at 1,567, the Java Developer position safely took the top spot.

Behind it were Enterprise Architect, Product Manager, Full Stack Engineer and Data Scientist, ranked two to five respectively for Glassdoor’s best jobs for 2022, four of which were also within the tech sector.
