Amazon founder's space flight firm rocked by 'toxic workplace' allegations

As founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos’s name has often been linked to controversial employee treatment within the tech and retail behemoth.

Now, however, it is his latest venture space exploration firm Blue Origin, that has been rocked by allegations of sexism, harassment and burnout.

A group of 21 former Blue Origin employees, including the firm’s ex-head of Employee Communications Alexandra Abrams, signed an open letter to the Bezos, levelling claims of gender bias, unheeded reports of sexual harassment, and pushing the firm’s 3,600 employees to their limits on a regular basis, to the point that some of the workforce experienced suicidal thoughts.
