Does HR have a diversity problem?

Diversity and inclusion (D&I) is a key area of concern for HR departments, and not without reason.

Many experts point to research which suggests that workplace equality leads to better financial performance, stronger talent attraction and retention, and a trusted employee culture and ethics – among many benefits.

However, a new report has shed light on the diversity gaps within the HR sector itself.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) recently collated figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) for a report titled The UK people profession in numbers, providing insight into how diverse the people function is across the UK.
