The Met Office has warned that a thunderstorm on Tuesday could bring an abrupt end to the sunny weather, but not before temperatures are set to pass the 30c mark in some areas - The Independent reported.
As the mercury continues to rise, which reached highs of 31.6c in Heathrow on Sunday, it has led to questions about how HR can manage staff, as well as what responsibilities employers have to staff members.
With the heatwave coinciding with “Freedom Day”, it is possible that some staff could be returning to a physical workplace and embarking on a commute to work.
As such, HR should consider the heat and work commutes.
