Should you support your staff if they speak out on social media?

Despite England’s heroic exploits at Euro 2020 – eventually losing to Italy on penalties – top players Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka have been subjected to racist abuse on social media.

Yet they have hit back. Most notably, Marcus Rashford took to social media, writing that he “will never apologise for who I am”.

He added: "I'm Marcus Rashford, 23-year-old black man from Withington and Wythenshawe, South Manchester. If I have nothing else I have that. For all the kind messages thank you. I'll be back stronger. We'll be back stronger."
