Asking for a pay rise, using LinkedIn and calling in sick have been revealed as the biggest workplace concerns for employees, recent Google search data has revealed.
Not knowing how to appropriately negotiate higher pay was ranked as the biggest workplace worry and garnered 19,050 global Google searches per month, with questions over how to use the social networking site LinkedIn (9,000) coming in second position.
Calling in sick was identified as the third biggest work worry, with an average of 5,850 monthly global Google searches regarding 'how to call in sick'.
The Knowledge Academy utilised Ahrefs - an seo toolset resource - to find out the monthly global Google searches for common workplace fears – many of which are HR issues or relate to aspects of work that the people function may be involved with in the business.
