Making staff go back to office 'could be illegal'

Under post-pandemic plans reportedly being looked over by ministers, millions of office staff could be given a ‘default’ right to work from home.

According to Metro, these alleged proposals would change the law to make it illegal for organisations to urge workers to attend a physical work environment unless they can prove it is essential.

It has been reported that the UK Government will consult on the plan over the summer months, ahead of a possible legal change later this year.
