Boss treats staff to tattoos & luxury gifts

The Melbourne-based marketing agency, Chain Social, hit headlines recently for unveiling its range of work perks that include some highly unconventional additions.

Helicopter rides, designer gifts and complimentary tattoos are among some of the top work perks that staff working for the firm are treated to – the Daily Mail reported.

The firm’s Founder, Shelby Van Zwol, who treats staff to a ‘team building’ day each month, told the Daily Mail: “I like to be a little over the top! We have gone on helicopter rides, enjoyed art classes and fancy meals, gone out for tattoos and have even planned a trip to Hayman Island in August for Chain's fifth birthday,” she said.

Whilst helicopter rides, art classes and tattoos may seem like a gimmick, Van Zwol noted that the perks are very much in keeping with her progressive HR-oriented ethos on leading people that puts work-life balance and wellbeing first and foremost.
