40% would reject a role if employer lacked diversity

Over 40% of prospective candidates would reject a job role if the company that offered it did not value diversity, new data released in Jobvite’s 2021 Job Seeker Nation Report has revealed.

The annual report, now in its 12th year, polled over 1,500 workers and discovered some enlightening insights into the mindsets of today’s workers.

Despite two-thirds believing that finding a job in 2021 will be more challenging than previous years as a result of coronavirus, the morality of diversity within the workplace would still persuade over 40% to turn down an opportunity with a company that did not value it.

This is also the case despite 64% noting that the jobseeking process is currently more stressful. This is allegedly especially true for working parents, one quarter of whom have changed industries since this time last year.
