How to support staff during Ramadan

Today marks the start of Ramadan and will continue until May 12, 2021, which will see Muslims in the UK take part in a period of fasting for up to 30 days.

During the period, Muslims will fast each day from sunset to sunrise, meaning HR should consider how they can support their staff during this time, when many may still be working remotely at home.

HR Grapevine previously reported that while there is no automatic entitlement for time off due to Ramadan, companies do have an implied responsibility to care for staff during this time.
