LinkedIn gives staff week off work to prevent burnout

Since the coronavirus crisis hit last year, employee wellbeing has been a top priority for the HR function. This has seen many employers roll out initiatives to help staff during this testing time.

To give staff the opportunity to recharge and to avoid burnout, the social networking giant LinkedIn has given its global workforce a paid week off work – CNN Business reported.

This time off – dubbed ‘RestUp!’ week which started on April 5, 2021, according to Yahoo! Sport – extends to the vast majority of the organisation’s 15,900 full-time workforce.

While a core team of staff will be required to work for this week, they will be able to schedule time off at a later date.
