On Tuesday, firm Volvo Cars announced that it would opt to give all global staff members 24-weeks paid parental leave – Yahoo! News reported.
The firm’s ‘Family Bond’ policy is said to give all employees with at least one year’s service, a total of 24 weeks of leave, at 80% of their base pay by default.
This new policy will benefit more than 40,000 staff in all plants and offices and will come into effect from April 1, 2021.
