Over the last few weeks, many organisations have signalled a shift towards more flexible working patterns following the coronavirus crisis.
The latest to join this increasing list is the multinational oil and gas firm BP, who has told 25,000 office-based staff that they will be asked to work from home for two days a week post-pandemic.
The Guardian reported that this new “hybrid” work model – which was communicated to staff last month – is said to affect 25,000 BP staff, with 6,000 in the UK.
The 60:40 split between the office and homeworking is expected to take effect from this summer as coronavirus restrictions start to ease.
