Almost half of women say career has been set back due to COVID-19

New research has shed light on the harsh impact that the coronavirus crisis is having on women’s careers.

LinkedIn’s latest data – which surveyed 20,000+ global working professionals – found that almost half of women globally say that their career has been either set back or put on hold due to the impact of the coronavirus crisis.

The research, which was unveiled in line with International Women’s Day (March 8, 2021), found that women in the UK and Italy are among the hardest hit in Europe.

For example, 40% of women in the UK and 45% of women in Italy believe that their careers have been put on hold or set back due to the pandemic.
