How Burberry is marking IWD

With International Women’s Day (IWD) taking place on March 8, many employers have started to share the progress they have made to support women in the workplace, while also outlining what they hope to achieve in the future.

One such employer is luxury fashion house Burberry, who recently revealed on LinkedIn how it has “rigorously reviewed and implemented policies,” as well as practices and programmes to ensure equality is met within the business.

Having maintained a position in the FTSE 100 for women in leadership, plus being recognised in the latest Hampton-Alexander Review – a Government initiative to boost the representation of women in senior leadership teams – for the third year in a row, it signifies that the fashion brand’s efforts so far have paid off when it comes to spearheading women within the workplace.

In a post shared by the organisation, Burberry said: “We have rigorously reviewed and implemented policies, programmes and practices to support this ambition, work recently recognised by our inclusion in the 2021 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index.”
