Multinational beverage company Diageo has announced introduced its first ever global Menopause Guidelines under the banner of ‘Thriving Through Menopause’.
The new guidelines were created by a ‘global working group’ that includes Diageo’s Spirited Women’s Network resource groups, who leaned on personal experience, along with best practice in the creation process.
Launching across the multi-national business’ locations in the UK and Ireland, the US and Canada, Diageo – a drinks firm with brands such as Johnnie Walker, Guinness and Captain Morgan within its portfolio – said it hopes to raise awareness and understanding for menopause within the workplace and break the current taboo.

As such, it will be providing resources to employees and line managers who may be experiencing menopause both directly and indirectly and inbuilding support mechanisms such as access to counselling and mindfulness sessions and increased flexibility in work patterns or access to sick pay.
