While several studies have indicated that employees are happy to continue working from home, even when the pandemic subsides, a new study has revealed that the office is not dead.
In fact, recruiter Randstad has found that workers miss commuting, suggesting that employees will once again want to return to the office in the future.
The research found that a third said they miss commuting since working from home. When asked how they viewed commuting and physical meetings in retrospect, 34% of respondents stated that they missed them.
In contrast, one in six claimed that they now viewed commuting, business travel and physical meetings as ‘completely outdated’.
