Best places to work in the UK in 2021

Salesforce, Microsoft and Abcam have topped Glassdoor’s list of the best places to work in the UK in 2021.

Software firm Salesforce took the top spot beating competition from top firms including Apple and Facebook with an overall company rating of 4.5.

Unlike other workplace awards, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards are based on the input of employees who anonymously and voluntarily provide feedback, by completing a company review about their job, working environment and employer in the last year.

Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor Chief Executive Officer, said that every employer has been impacted by the coronavirus crisis in the last year.

“This year’s winning employers have proven, according to employees, that even during extraordinary times, they’ll rise to the challenge to support their people.

“A mission-driven culture, transparent leadership and career opportunities are always hallmarks of Best Places to Work winners.

“This year, we also see exceptional employers who have prioritised the health, safety and wellbeing of their employees. My congratulations go to all of this year’s outstanding Employees’ Choice Award winners,” Sutherland-Wong added.

Google, Softcat, GTB and Apple were some of the organisations that also featured in the top ten.

According to Glassdoor, winners are ranked based on their overall rating in the last year on a five-point scale.

The 2021 UK list features employers across various industries including technology, finance, food and manufacturing among others.
