CEOs that 'sacrificed' during the coronavirus pandemic

Since the coronavirus crisis hit earlier this year, businesses, the jobs market and the economy have all been severely impacted in one way or another.

Many businesses have been forced to temporarily close in light of coronavirus restrictions while others have sadly closed altogether.

During this period of uncertainty, some CEOs and business leaders have sacrificed all or part of their salary, to help the business ride the COVID-19 storm or to support employees through 2020.

In fact, people management firm Impact International has compiled data showing the CEOs that have sacrificed. The firm found that 41% of CEOs who have made a financial sacrifice gave up 100% of their base salary, while 32% gave up between 50% and 99%.
