Boris Johnson at centre of workplace bullying row

A Cabinet Office inquiry into allegations of bullying by Secretary of State, Priti Patel, has found evidence that she broke the ministerial code, the Guardian has reported.

The Government’s Standards Adviser Sir Alex Allan found that Patel’s behaviour had breached the code. However, it has been revealed that the Prime Minister has rejected the findings, stating that he had “full confidence” in the Secretary of State.

Patel has since released a statement, reported the BBC, where she said she was sorry “that my behaviour in the past has upset people”.

Sir Alex has now revealed he is resigning from his role as a result of the decision.
