Employee QUIT THREAT after manager resisted WFH

An employee has taken to Mumsnet stating that they are considering leaving their organisation because they don’t feel that they are “treated like an adult”.

In a forum post titled ‘Leaving because not allowed to WFH’, the employee said that they worked really well from home during the lockdown period and that they were around to answer corporate emails instantly.

Yet, after admittedly making several errors at work - although no details were shared of what these mistakes entailed - the employee went on to explain that they were called back in “on the pretext of needing an office environment to work well (around September)”.

The employee, writing under the forum name bctf123, added: “I am the only one called in along with a young apprentice who needs to be on site. I am a bit of a pushover and the lowest in the office and feel I’ve been singled out despite my contribution and role.
