Conflict of interest | 'Have you ever hired a friend to be your HR assistant?'

For many HR professionals, hiring new talent into the people team – as well as into the wider business – is a part of their remit.

In a recent Reddit post, user kareesta – who claimed they are an HR manager – asked whether other forum users had ever hired a friend to work as their HR assistant, because this is something they were considering.

“I’m the HR manager for my company and I’m able to hire a second HR assistant. I talked to a friend the other day and she told me that she is currently looking for work,” the forum user explained.

“I know that she is a hard worker and would probably be great in the role.
