Youtube star | 'Outrageous' boss furloughs staff - then spends £2m on office renovation

Millionaire Youtube star and boss of her own company Zoella spent £2m purchasing and renovating new offices whilst furloughing a staff member at tax payer expense, MailOnline reports.

The news that the successful vlogger – real name Zoe Sugg – was paying the £25,000 salary of her office manager on the coronavirus furlough scheme broke despite reports that business is booming for the 30-year-old business owner.

In fact, it is estimated that Zoella is worth circa £5m after signing deals with BMW, GHD, Etsy and Spotify.

Recent Companies House records show that her businesses are financially robust, with assets over £1.2million.
