Yesterday, Boris Johnson announced a three-tier coronavirus restrictions system with all of England put into a category of “medium”, “high”, or “very high” risk categories.
This system was created, as The Independent reports, to simplify the wide range of restrictions that were in place around the UK.
Introducing the new system in parliament, Prime Minister Boris Johnson argued that it would not be the “right course” to reintroduce a national lockdown. However, he did add: “We need to go further.”
