Staff told THIS in work dress code email

Items of clothing such as sandals, shorts and spaghetti straps are often not acceptable to wear in the workplace, either due to health and safety reasons or simply because they are not deemed professional enough.

However, it has been reported that one boss went one step further with her workplace dress code, telling female staff to ditch their cardigans.

Ayesha Vardag, who runs law firm Vardags in London’s Old Bailey, reportedly told her female workers that they could be ‘discreetly sexy’ in a 1,000-word dress code email, which was leaked to Legal Cheek.

The divorce lawyer shared an email titled ‘Attire and image – dress code and beyond’ back in 2019, where she wrote: “We need to be looking fabulous at all times, including during the summer heat.”
