1 in 5 employees sleep on the job

For those employers who were forced to implement remote working policies at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, and who previously rejected the concept, the inability to monitor staff has been a key concern.

And whilst numerous studies have shown that productivity either maintains or actively rises when employees are remote, a new survey of over 2,000 UK employees, conducted on behalf of Protect Your Bubble, found that more than 85% are indeed more likely to engage in non-work-related activities while remote working.

In fact, whilst remote working looks likely to continue as a key feature of many companies’ policies, the data suggested that productivity during remote working could be declining.
