As the temporary move to homeworking in light of COVID-19 turns into a more permanent shift, many companies are currently devising new ways to ensure that staff remain productive when not in a physical workspace.
To help with this, tech giant Facebook has confirmed the creation of a new position solely to develop a sustainable culture of remote working.
The ‘Director of Remote Work’ position was announced in early September, according to a report from Business Insider, to lead Facebook's push "toward remote-first ways of working”.
A listing for the job posted on the firm’s careers page stated: "Facebook is taking a thoughtful and measured approach to the future of work at Facebook, including committing to remote work as one of our long-term strategies.”
