Working from home has altered the way that people work dramatically; they are no longer taking part in the daily commute to and from the office and the days of chatting over by the water cooler in the office are long gone.
However, how exactly have these workers’ lunches changed? According to a new study, it seems that things have taken a turn for the worse when it comes to what people are tucking into on their hourly break.
Research released by Just Eat has found that 34% of those working from home have seen a decline in the quality of their lunch, with 39% choosing to eat just a packet of crisps most days. Meanwhile, six per cent shared that they had resorted to cold beans straight from the can for their lunch.
For 36% of respondents, a cup of coffee was enough for their lunch, a third opted for instant noodles and 19% said they rely on a simple microwave meal.
