Exec wins claim against 'old boys' network'

Ensuring that employees have equal opportunities in the workplace is key, not just for employee morale but for overall business performance too.

For example, research from McKinsey & Company found that diverse teams perform better than those that don’t prioritise the D&I agenda.

Yet, a tribunal heard that a high-performing sales executive was ‘pushed aside for an ‘old boys' network’. She has since won a sex discrimination claim.

According to the Daily Mail, Nadine Lee, who worked at the tech firm Splunk’s London office, regularly negotiated deals with high-profile clients, had won ‘prestigious’ sales awards and took home £750,000 one year through commission demonstrating her capability in the role.
