The coronavirus pandemic has had a significant physical and mental impact on the health and wellbeing of the UK’s workforce.
YoungMind statistics gathered from a survey of 2,036 professionals between June 6 and July 5, 2020, revealed that 80% believed that their mental health had been negatively impacted, whilst 41% said that the detrimental effects were ‘significant’ – this is drastically up from just 32% in a similar poll taken in March.
Now, in the wake of new Government advice stating that wherever possible, workers should now transition back to the ‘normality’ of the office, data commissioned by mental health company Yumi Nutrition has revealed that as a result, 44% of British workers are losing between three and five hours of sleep per night due to their anxieties, a report by the Bromsgrove Standard stated.

More than one in ten workers are now so anxious about the prospect of returning to a physical workplace that more than half of the time they allocate to sleeping is now spent worrying about their health.
