Research published on Gov.uk stated that two-thirds (63%) of adults in England are overweight or living with obesity – it's something that the UK Government recently revealed a raft of measures on, in a new 'obesity strategy'.
This includes a ban on TV and online adverts for food high in fat, sugar and salt before 9pm and calories to be displayed on menus to help the public make healthier choices when eating out.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that losing weight can be a challenge, but small changes can help us “feel fitter and healthier”. “If we all do our bit, we can reduce our health risks and protect ourselves against coronavirus – as well as taking pressure off the NHS," he said.
