3 ways to get ahead when WFH

The coronavirus pandemic has hugely changed the traditions of working. Many office workers continue to work remotely and have been ever since UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson enforced lockdown measures back in March.

When working from home, employees are less physically visible to colleagues and bosses and rely on virtual communication platforms and videoconferencing services to communicate with one another.

With that being the case, many people may assume that it is more difficult to get ahead when working from home because bosses can’t witness them putting in extra time to ace an important project or helping a colleague out with a last-minute favour.

Yet, just because an employee is working remotely, it doesn’t mean that they can’t get ahead. In fact, now may be the prime time for employees to demonstrate the level of value that they can add to the business and the skillset that they bring to their department.
