A legal expert has said that employers are ‘bracing themselves’ for a deluge of last-minute annual leave requests due to the scorching temperatures this week.
The Met Office’s heatwave map has shown that temperatures will soar to a blistering 34C for many regions this week.
According to the Express, Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Dan Suri, said: “The hot weather is expected to last until at least Friday and so heatwave conditions are likely to develop for some areas this week.”
As a result, employees may rush to submit annual leave requests so that they can bask in the sunshine and enjoy a long weekend in the heat.
