The Government-enforced lockdown period hasn’t been an easy prospect for even the most senior and experienced professionals in the workforce.
The swift default to remote working has put pressure on all generations to rethink the working day from the ground up, finding solutions to elements that have been mainstays of working life for decades, such as meetings, client-facing communication and the balance between work and home life.
However, just because all generations of workers are somewhat ‘in the same boat’ during this challenging period, this doesn’t mean that all workers are reacting to the move in the same way. In fact, according to research conducted by Perceptyx, a stark divide exists between younger workers and older workers.
Younger employees (those under 26-years-old) are most at risk of feeling disconnected from the effort to help achieve the company’s goals and their own in the process.
