Will you have to book a place in the office lift?

Salesforce’s London employee base may find themselves having to book a place in the lift when they return to the office, after plans emerged regarding how the US-headquartered firm plans to socially distance at work.

The Daily Mail reported that Marc Benioff, CEO at the software giant, said employees would have to book specific times to travel between floors in the firm's London office.

Salesforce is spread over ten floors in the 46-storey Heron Tower – which is located on Liverpool Street in the capital’s financial district. It is the third tallest skyscraper in London.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Benioff said: “There's only going to be so many people allowed in the elevator at one time because we're going to have proper social distancing.”
