During this period of lockdown, many organisations have felt the financial squeeze brought about by the coronavirus lockdown.
Businesses have had to temporarily close; some staff members have lost their jobs or have been placed on furlough and people are trying to save money and spend less, which is making it very difficult for businesses to sustain.
As of this week, the entertainment group Walt Disney will put more than 100,000 employees (almost half of its workforce) on unpaid leave as the firm struggles to cope with the financial downturn caused by coronavirus lockdown measures.
According to the Financial Times, these suspended salaries are estimated to save up to £400million ($500million) per month across its theme parks and hotels – many of which have been temporarily closed for some time now.
