Remote working sees staff put in TWO extra hours per day

There are many misconceptions around the concept of working remotely.

For example, leaders who mistrust workers not constantly under their own supervision may perceive working from home as a chance for many to ‘slack off’ and may, therefore, expect to see productivity wane.

However, new data recently released by NordVPN has found that since the vast majority of UK-based businesses adopted remote working on March 11, 2020, business VPN usage worldwide in the wake of the global coronavirus pandemic has skyrocketed, with the majority of professionals now working an extra two hours outside of their allotted workday.

“The analysis of our clients indicated that tens of thousands of corporate employees that have now started working from home within the past week, and are typically working 11 hours a day, some of the longest hours in the world at this time,” explained Daniel Marcusson, Digital Privacy Expert of NordVPN Teams.
