Coronavirus is something that has dominated news agendas over the last few weeks. As the virus has spread to British shores, several UK employers have hit headlines for implementing various preventative measures to safeguard both staff and the business.

For example, Twitter and Google instructed some of its staff to work remotely in an attempt to contain the spread of the virus. Other organisations have outlined new policies regarding sick pay including JD Wetherspoon, who announced that staff would receive regular statutory sick pay if they choose to self-isolate.
