Staff reveal how to lose a job in FOUR words

A tongue-in-cheek Twitter hashtag circulating on the social media network has unearthed a list of ways that employees could lose their job through just a couple of ill-considered words.

The #LoseYourJobin4Words hashtag saw Twitter users share examples of four-word utterances that could potentially cost an employee their job.

One Twitter user said that ‘asking for a raise’ was a phrase that could cost an employee their role, with another stating that being ‘completely honest with customers’ was a sure-fire way to be shown the door.

Elsewhere, one person recalled their friending signing off a phone call with a recruiter saying ‘Thanks, I love you', which completely scuppered their job prospects as the hirer never called back.
