While payday helps employees pay the bills and spend leftover money on luxuries, research has revealed that money isn’t the top motivator for employees when going into the office each day.

A new study commissioned by Perkbox revealed that spending time with work colleagues was the top reason for staff wanting to go into the office – with money ranking sixth on the list of priorities.

The study of 2,000 employed adults found that the work hours, feeling capable, having a sense of fulfillment, and working as part of a team all ranked highly on the list - The Sun reported.
