1 in 7 workers have had belongings stolen by a colleague

Heading into the workplace every day, the last thing employees would expect is to have something stolen, but as it turns out, theft is more common than we think.

Whether it’s someone’s chicken arrabbiata for lunch that goes walkabouts or a co-worker’s favourite pen that goes missing one day, new research has found that office theft statistics are worryingly high.

In fact, research shared by Cartridge People in a report called Bad Office Habits: What annoys UK workers the most found that more than one in seven respondents claimed that they have had a colleague steal from them.

In its survey of 1,028 people, it was also revealed that men are more likely to have been stolen from than women (16% versus 12%).
