Drinking alcohol plays a part in many workplace cultures. Recognised as a method to schmooze and butter up clients in a bid to land a corporate deal, boozy lunches and evening drinks have long been popular among employees.

While drinking alcohol may be encouraged in some workplaces, employees are also turning to booze to help them deal with the pressures of work and spend their evenings drinking alcohol as a result. This has led to more workers turning up to work with a hangover.
