When pay day arrives, employees often jump for joy at the sight of the small fortune in their bank account. After paying off bills and rent for the month, employees are free to spend their earnings however they see fit.
Yet, a Vice President of HR grilled an employee over the worn condition of their car, asking why they didn’t have a more ‘appropriate looking’ car given that it 'should be within your financial reach'.
Writing on Reddit, user u/dorf-1 shared a screenshot of a letter that their co-worker allegedly received from the Vice President of Human Resource Management and the Vice President of Finance and Administration, asking if ‘financial difficulties’ were responsible for their old car.
The letter read: “We have noticed for some time the condition of your vehicle and wanted to discuss this matter with you. We will follow up this email with a personal meeting but wanted to document the discussion before.
