As we spend so much time with our colleagues at work, it’s likely that workplace gripes will crop up now and again.
While our peers may irritate us with their choice of smelly lunch food for example, or because they are never on time when it comes to deadlines, it is how employees react and deal with their grievances that make for a harmonious or toxic workplace.
However, new research has discovered that as many as 75% of people have admitted to carrying out small, malicious acts on people who have annoyed them, reported the Scotsman.
So much so that one in 20 admitted to adding sugar to a colleague’s cup of tea while they were on a diet. Others have told their peers the ending of a gripping TV series or have left the petrol tank empty for their other half.
