The UK workplace is a progressive entity; areas such as worker wellbeing and flexible working are still evolving, whilst the average work-life varies depending on how invested a company feels in their HR policies.

However, whilst workers may view the work perks and wellbeing initiatives of their peers with envy, there’s one element that the average worker simply takes for granted – their safety.

This, according to research conducted by safety body the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in collaboration with PPE experts Vizwear, is because the UK is the safest country in Europe in which to work.

The data revealed the total number of workplace fatalities of each country and shows that whilst Sweden, Germany and Denmark have successful health and safety statistics, the UK is operating much more safely than other European countries such as Portugal and Malta.
