Man dies after colleague spiked his packed lunch

Bullying and harassment can take many forms within the workplace; workers may share a few crossed words, or some may deliberately go out of their way to cause upset and embarrassment to a fellow colleague.

For one worker though, it seemed he wanted to cause actual physical harm to his colleagues after it was discovered he poisoned a co-worker’s packed lunch.

According to the Independent, a worker in Germany identified as ‘Klaus O’ was sentenced to life in prison for attempted murder in March 2019 after he was caught putting powder in a colleague’s sandwich.

A testimony from a psychologist in the case claimed that the worker ‘seemed to me like a scientist who was testing substances on a guinea pig’.
