Enjoying your job is a priority for every worker, as we spend five days a week and sometimes over 35 hours a week within our place of work. But it seems a huge amount of UK professionals cannot leave work alone.
In fact, Britain is a nation of workaholics as four in ten adults have admitted that they can’t stop working. In a study of 2,000 offices workers by the charity Society For The Protection Of Animals Abroad (SPANA), one in six respondents revealed that they spend more than 11 hours a week working when they are away from the office, checking emails and making calls.
While almost half shared that they enjoy their work, 65% hate the fact they’re constantly taking it home with them, with just three per cent saying that they leave work on time every day.
“It’s clear workers in Britain have a strong work ethic and often put in long hours, going beyond the call of duty for their employers,” said SPANA’s Chief Executive, Geoffrey Dennis.
