TV star's sex scenes spark HR debate

Toxic work cultures can be damaging for a number of reasons; it can lead to a lack of staff morale, high employee turnover and a slowdown in profits. One actress has claimed that a toxic environment was the reason for her departure from a TV show.

English actress Ruth Wilson has shared her experiences of a toxic culture while working on the US TV drama series The Affair, the Metro has reported.

Her sudden and mysterious exit from the show was reportedly due to a ‘toxic work environment that tried to encourage gratuitous and unnecessary nudity and sex scenes’.

Wilson originally left the show last year, with rumours circulating that her exit was over a pay gap between her and her colleague, Dominic West.
